It was a day of joy and felicitations in Lagelu Local Government, Ibadan, Oyo State, as market leaders, government representatives, friends and families celebrated Alhaja Chief Zulfah Adeyemi Adetunji on her Lagelu Local Government Iyalaje-In-General installation. The Iyalaje-In-General installation ceremony was conducted by Lagelu Local Government Market Council led by Alh Oseni Liadi, the Babaloja-In-General, with representatives of the Advisory Council of Oyo State and the Executive Chairman Lagelu Local Government, in attendance.
The colourful Iyalaje-In-General installation ceremony which was held at Alegongo, Akobo, had in attendance market leaders from markets in Lagelu Local Government and other local governments. Also in attendance was Alhaji Abdulazeez Monsuru Oladimeji representing the Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon Mudasiru Kamarudeen Morenikeji.
In his address, Alh Oseni Liadi thanked Alhaja Chief Adeyemi Adetunji for the love and care she continues to show to marketmen and marketwomen in Lagelu Local Government by the establishment of a revolving loan scheme for members. He prayed that God will continue to bless and increase the newly installed Iyalaje-In-General to do more for the Local Government and Oyo State at large. Other market leaders in the local government spoke glowingly of Alhaja Adeyemi’s sterling contributions to the economic development of Lagelu Local Government and the welfare of marketmen and marketwomen in the local government.
Market leaders and other dignitaries in attendance at the installation ceremony include Mrs Asabi, the Mamaloja-In-General, Lagelu Local Government; Chief Mrs Kikelomo, Iyalaje-In-General Akinyele; Alhaji Oladimeji Asimiyu, Babaloja Olorunda; Alh Waheed, Babaloja, Oyedeji Market; Chief Mrs Olatunji, Iyaloja Dan Market; Alhaji Ayobami Ajala, Secretary Oyo State Marketmen and Marketwomen Association; Alhaja Oloye Hamdalatu Lawal, President, Canteen Workers, Oyo State; Babaloja-In-General, Ibadan North LG, Alhaji Muliudeen Oladeji; Babaloja-In-General, Ido LG, Alhaji Chief Nureni Ayodeji; Babaloja Apete, Chief Idowu Muyiwa; Iyaloja Akinyele, Alhaja Ajibola Azeez; Iyaloja Amuloko, Alhaja Iyabo Ajani. Also in attendance were Prof Soji Adejumo, the Ajiroba of Ibadanland and many more dignitaries.
In her response, the newly installed Iyalaje-In-General, Alhaja Chief Adeyemi Adetunji promised to use her new status and the wider sphere of influence it brings to give her best to the economic development of Lagelu Local Government and the service of humanity at large.
