At Ibadan North Renewed Hope Ambassadors Tour, Folarin Spreads Tidings Of Unity, Obtains Consensus On Tinubu’s Sole Candidacy.

The Oyo State Renewed Hope Ambassador, Senator Teslim Folarin delivered an emphatic message of unity to the All Progressive Congress party faithful at the Renewed Hope Ambassadors Tour Of Ibadan North Local Government at Yemetu, on Tuesday January 13, 2026. He also obtained the consensus, for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be the sole candidate of APC in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

The Ibadan North Local Government Renewed Hope Ambassadors led by Oloye ‘Sina Alabi, other party leaders and critical stakeholders heartily received the message and gave a consensus on Asiwaju Tinubu’s sole candidacy.

The motion to have Asiwaju Tinubu as the sole presidential candidate of the APC in 2027 was moved by distinguished Senator Sharafadeen Alli, seconded by Hon Akinola Adekunle Alabi while Senator Fatai Omotayo Buhari requested and obtained the endorsement of the motion by all in attendance.

In his address at the open air meeting, Senator Folarin expressed President Tinubu’s happiness at the developments in Oyo State APC. He said, “President Tinubu instructed us to stop the fighting and to work together in unity. He has heard that we are following his instructions and he is happy. Today, we have concluded our tour.

Senator Folarin added, “President Tinubu acknowledges that the last two years have been difficult because of the measures he had to take, but he maintained that those measures are necessary for the survival of our country and our economy. Going forward, things will be better and easier”

Oloye Abdulwahid Adebayo Adelabu, pointed out that the gathering is not a campaign, neither is it a rally. It is an open air meeting to demonstrate the newly fangled unity in the party. He said, “The essence of this open air meeting is to demonstrate that Oyo State APC is now one. At the top, we are already one, in the middle we are one, let us also be one all the way down. When we were divided, we won all three senatorial seats and nine House of Representatives seats. Now we are united, we are winning everything, from the presidency to the governorship, all the way down to the councilors. President Tinubu demanded of us a 35% increase in votes from our state and we will deliver it.”

Hon. Dr. (Mrs) Adepeju Esan, Chairperson, Central Planning Committee, Ibadan North Renewed Hope Ambassadors Tour, in her welcome address noted, “Today’s gathering is more than a political event. It is a reaffirmation of our collective belief in purposeful leadership, progressive governance and a shared vision for a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has demonstrated uncommon political will in addressing long-standing structural challenges in our economy and governance. Through the Renewed Hope Agenda, his administration has laid a solid foundation for economic recovery, infrastructural development, social investment, security reforms and institutional strengthening.”

Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, the distinguished Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District, informed the gathering that the Oyo South Senatorial District meeting will be holding soon. He expressed happiness that there is no more quarrels and infighting in the party. He noted, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has instructed us to be as one, you have seen us your leaders as one, you also should be as one”

Senator Fatai Omotayo Buhari counseled the gathering to make sure that their sons and daughters who just turned eighteen go for the INEC registration and the APC registration, when it begins.

His Excellency, former Deputy Governor, Iyiola Oladokun pointed out that there are no second class members in the party, “No second class members in APC, Those who have been in the party and those who are just joining will equally benefit.”

Indeed, the ranks of Ibadan North APC were swollen by decampees from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and Labour Party, LP. Hon Sahib Oladayo AKA Agba Egbe, Hon Akeem Egbenle and Hon Seun Adelore are notables amongst decampees from the PDP while Hon Babatunde Olugbenga Omirin and Hon Afeez Abiola, spoke for those who joined from the Labour Party. They were received into the APC by a team led by Alh Bello Oladeji AKA BAO.
